TRUMP’S MOVE ‘INEXPLICABLE’ TO WORLD HEALTH ORG: Officials from the World Health Organization hold a briefing on the latest developments of the global coronavirus outbreak. On Friday Pres. Trump announced that the United States will be terminating its relationship with the UN organization, claiming that the ‘world needs answers from China on the virus. We must have transparency.’ Dr. David Nabarro, the WHO’s special envoy for coronavirus, called Trump’s move ‘disappointing’ and ‘inexplicable,’ adding that ‘we’ve now got the biggest communicable disease challenge that I’ve ever known, and we really need every single nation working together on it, including the U.S.’ Trump’s decision, which has been condemned by Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander who chairs the Senate Health Committee, comes as the United States nears 2 million coronavirus cases and over 104,000 deaths.
