Kim and Cindy discuss if phonemic, rapid naming/fluency and orthographic subtypes exist. We quickly review each category and why dyslexia is often missed. We also explore "Stealth" dyslexia as a label. We discuss what you as parents can do to ask for specific assessments in specific areas. Finally, we review what good intervention looks like. We also have a call out to parents who would like us to listen to their child read and we will tell them what we hear in their child's reading. First five parents to reach out can tell us the reading level of their child and we will connect about getting oral reading samples.
