Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have killed 124 people in a village in El Gezira state in what reports suggest to be one of the deadliest incidents in the 18-month-long civil war in the country. The RSF’s attacks which came between 20 and 25 October involved shooting, looting and committing sexual violence against women and girls. The move came just days after a top RSF commander defected to the Army with his forces. With the two sides fighting to gain more power and territories, the people of Sudan are bearing the brunt.
