🌿 In Summer 2023, Cranbrook Art Museum invited Autophysiopsychic Millennium to participate in a summer residency at Cranbrook to teach an elective on Black self-determination in creativity to students in Cranbrook School's Horizons-Upward Bound program for Detroit youth.
🪘 The group, which is comprised of Detroit and Chicago-based musicians who study the philosophies of Dr. Yusef Lateef, worked together with the students to develop a new performance entitled "Something Else in the Garden."
🎭 The collaboration APPM had with Cranbrook’s Horizons-Upward Bound, Cranbrook Art Museum, and Cranbrook Schools has left an indelible mark on both the students' lives and our hearts. Shout-out to our Curator of Public Programs, Lyla Catellier for coordinating this amazing program!
