My Carl Hoffman designed Northern 4-8-4 live steam locomotive build. Mr. Hoffman drew these as a "Hudson". My chassis is stretched by one driver set to create a Northern. Only 22 plans sold a half a centry ago. When completed this locomotive will run on coal and water and pull adults and children around an outdoor track. I purchased this model after it was begun by a gentleman years ago, sold at an estate sale, donated to a car museum and then purchased by me. What you see is six months into my ownership and many hours of work.
