Looking at the world as one, how can we collaborate for rejuvenating our shared planet?
Our economies and people are interconnected. So are the changes in our climate, health and food systems, and the wellbeing of humankind. Countries, societies, and industries need to challenge existing silos and find new and collaborative approaches to rejuvenate our planet. Collaboration requires us to move towards pooling resources, intellectual capital, cultural ethos, and knowledge, to solve planetary challenges. This requires us to see the world as one family. Under this theme, the opening seminar of Engaging India at Almedalen invites India's Ambassador to Sweden H.E. Tanmaya Lal, India's tech pioneer Nandan Nilekani and ethnologist Professor Emeritus Owe Ronström to share their insights. Previously, Engaging India at Almedalen seminars have shown the potential of collaboration between Sweden and India. There are already successful examples of this. The theme of 2022 takes these collaborations forward to explore co-creation opportunities for our planet.
