Less than 5 nights after the fire, Raul "Mike" Vargas recounted his harrowing ordeal. He'd been stuck in the entrance hallway of the club under a pile of other patrons for over an hour whilst the club burned to the ground all around him. This interview aired on 25 February 2003.

Mike's portion starts a little before the 3 minute mark. The woman who was behind Mike in the pile-up is wheeled out right after him.

Segment 4 of Greg Best's footage shows another man who was rescued around the same time. Watch for the greenhouse collapse at 55 seconds and the survivor 20 seconds after that:
