This performance is from American Bandstand, September 15, 1979.
The band never made a music video for this single, and I decided to make an unofficial one by finding a mimed performance of the song and redubbing it with a high-quality audio track of the single. This American Bandstand performance is the only mimed one I have found.
The source video I used to create this one is here: [ Ссылка ]
That was the best-quality upload of this performance I could find online, and in fact it was the only one I could find. Replacing the audio track involved speeding up the footage quite a lot, as it was running too slow compared to the HQ audio track I am using. Unfortunately I had to speed it up so much that it caused occasional small jumps to appear in the footage, and I have been unable to find a way of avoiding this from occurring. The source video was a bit out-of-sync, with the picture running late compared to the sound, so I have fixed that. In this performance, the band were miming to the single version of the song as released in the USA, and this was an edited version that misses the J. S. Bach intro and outro. For this video, I wanted to have the full-length version of the song, so to accompany the intro I have put up on screen two paintings of J. S. Bach and three pictures of Al Jardine with his then wife Lynda Sperry, and to accompany the outro I have put up on screen three more pictures of Al and Lynda together, and ended with a more recent picture of Lynda on her own.
I have also cropped the edges of the video picture, just enough to clean them up. I have also adjusted the colours, increasing their intensity, making the light areas lighter and making the dark areas darker. I have also added optional subtitles for the lyrics.
This song was written by Al Jardine, Ron Altbach and Johann Sebastian Bach. It is based on Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring", which is played in the intro and outro. This track was produced by Bruce Johnston, the Beach Boys and Jim Guercio, and was released in 1979. The lead vocalist is Al Jardine. According to Wikipedia, this single reached No. 6 in the UK and No. 54 in Australia.

I currently have two other videos featuring the Beach Boys, and they are these:
The Beach Boys : "Do You Wanna Dance?" (1965) • Unofficial Music Video • HQ Audio • Lyrics Option

The Beach Boys : "I Can Hear Music" (1969) • Official/Unofficial Music Video • HQ Audio • Lyrics

An official presentation of the lyrics to this song is to be found printed on the back cover of the Japan release of the single, a picture of which can be seen here: [ Ссылка ]=
Presented below and as optional subtitles in the video is my own transcript of the lyrics, for which I have used that official presentation and the transcripts found on lyrics websites as a guide.
Lyrics:
"Lady Lynda"
- The Beach Boys
(Words and Music by Al Jardine, Ron Altbach and
Johann Sebastian Bach)
Lady, Lady, Lady, Lady
Won't you come here and lie, Lady Lynda, with me
We can lie in the green canyon meadow
And we'll hear the birds sing in the spring
Don't you know, if you'll stay, Lady Lynda, with me
We can talk about love ever after
When you lie, Lady Lynda, with me
Lynda, won't you say that we can be near
Cannot deny there've been hard times
Ooh
Darlin', evolution is drawing us near
Look in my eyes, whoa
Lynda, won't you say that I am your man
Don't look surprised, it's all in His plan
Ooh
And darlin', evolution is drawing us near
Lie, lady, lie
(Ooh, lady, won't you lie, lady)
Now won't you stay, Lady Lynda, with me
We can talk about love ever after
When you lie, Lady Lynda, with me
(Ooh, lady, won't you lie, lady)
(Won't you, ooh, lady, won't you stay, lady, with me)
When you lie, Lady Lynda
Come along with me
(Ooh, lady, won't you lie, lady)
(Won't you lie with me)
(Darlin', you know you make my heart sing)
Won't you come along
And sing this song
Sing this song of love
(Darlin', your love is like the coming spring)
Oh, won't you come along
And sing my song
Sing this song, my love
(Darlin', your love is like the coming spring)
Oh, won't you come along
And sing my song
Sing this song, my love
(Darlin', you know you make my heart sing)
Won't you come along
And sing this song
(Won't you marry me?)
