The Pete Dye at French Lick is an awe-inspiring mountain course. Not only is this course stunning it feels fresh and unique. Pete Dye uses many of the design features fans of his have come to love or hate but on this course which feels big and grand like Whistling Strait while not feeling rugged but more like a walk through a majestic country farm. The surrounds views offer endless site lines of beautiful hills and forest tops and early morning tee times will feel like you are playing above the clouds. Ranked the 17th best public course, 107th best course in America and No. 3 in Indiana by @golfdigest. The course from the tips is 8,000+ yard including a 300-yard par 3, even from shorter tees the course is far from a pushover and will require great drives and shotmaking, but after a hard earned round finished you are greeted with a bottle of whiskey, a cigar and a personalized ball marker making the journey back down the hill feel even better. Definitely, a must play course.
