For today's video, i ventured out to west Leicestershire to the small hamlet of Shenton to look at the Ashby canal, and Ashby and Nuneaton joint Railway that skim past the the village.
Whilst in the area, i also had a quick look at the Bosworth Battlefield, there would have been more footage at the Battlefield, but it was quite windy up there, and i haven't sorted myself a microphone out yet!
Shenton is a beautiful little place, with an interesting church, and also a beautiful hall, that is a private residence, what i love about the village, is that, apart from the cars and tarmac, the village itself has hardly changed since the canal opened in 1804, and the last upheaval they had to put up with, is when the Ashby and Nuneaton joint Railway was constructed there between 1869, and 1874, the place really is one of those quintessential little English outposts!
Anyway, if you enjoyed this video, please like, subscribe, and share, and i will see you at the next one!
Cheers, Steve...
