On September 20, 2023, the Third Congress of Classical Education took place in the Great Hall of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Poland. It was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN), the Educational Research Institute (IBE), the Centre for Education Development (ORE), and the Academy of Zamość. The event was attended by school superintendents, directors of teacher training centers, directors of provincial pedagogical libraries, school principals, and other guests interested in the subject. The artistic setting of the event was the piano concert performed by Prof. Piotr Szychowski. The facilitator of the Congress was journalist Krzysztof Ziemiec. At the very beginning, Radosław Brzózka, plenipotentiary of the Minister of Education and Science for educational strategy, introduced the participants to the topic of the Congress. In the next part, Prof. Grzegorz Kucharczyk presented the paper “Christianitas and contemporary education”, Prof. Paweł Skrzydlewski − “Natural circles of human education”, Prof. Artur Mamcarz-Plisiecki − “Rhetoric at school in relation to classical education”, Radosław Brzózka − “Classical education in the educational strategy of Minister Przemysław Czarnek”, Prof. Paweł Gondek − “Drawing on the heritage of classical education”, Dr. Paweł Milcarek − “What is the Canon of Authors and how to be with it every day?”, and Andrzej Hołowiński − “Back to the garden. Teaching classical culture in Polish schools”. The final part of the Congress was the discussion panel entitled “Classical education – opportunities, needs, possibilities of implementation” in which took part: Rev. Prof. Zdzisław Klafka, Prof. Włodzimierz Dłubacz, and Dr. Artur Górecki.
