This natural geological pothole is surprisingly narrow & DEEP. I am 6 feet tall, and went down with arms extended and was still completely underwater by another 6 inches (hence the stick). Guess it to be just over 8' deep (2.7 m ?). Opening is about 2.5 feet across, but it gets wider below the surface, maybe 4' diameter. Last year I went in and my fingertips broke the surface when fully in. Either the water level was up a bit this year or someone has cleaned out the rocks at the bottom (I think it accumulates rocks from kids trying to see how deep it is). You can't see bottom except near noon, when it looks much closer than it really is due to the clarity of the water. And that water is nice and COLD!
