In "Mountain biking over 40 | How to Wall Ride", I find myself riding my mountain bike on an obstacle I never thought I would ride. Bike parks have opened up a whole new world for mountain biking and I while I may be over 40, way over 40 at 57, I still want to progress and a big wallride wound up on my mountain biking bucket list. A couple years ago I did this large wallride at Valmont and it's become my favorite part of the park. The feeling of being able to defy gravity for just a second is what I love about riding. In this video my buddy Sean and I break down the wallride into four steps - so you know what to expect. All the same principles and skills apply - no matter what size wall you're taking on or what kind of bike you're riding.
