भारत जोड़ो यात्रा की शुरूआत से ही लोगों की बातें सुन रहा हूं, उनके दुख-दर्द पहचान रहा हूं।

अनायास एक दिन रामेश्वर जी का एक वीडियो सामने आया - एक आम इंसान, एक खुद्दार और ईमानदार भारतीय जो मेहनत से अपने परिवार का पालन करना चाहता है, मगर उनकी आंखें भरी हुईं, मजबूरी के आंसुओं से। करें तो करें क्या - एक तरफ बेरोज़गारी का गहरा कुआं, तो दूसरी ओर महंगाई की खाई।

इत्तेफ़ाक से रामेश्वर जी ने मिलने की इच्छा जताई, जिसके लिए मैं खुद इच्छुक था। सादर और सपरिवार उन्हें घर पर खाने के लिए आमंत्रित किया। कुछ बातें करनी थी उन्हें, और मुझे भी उनसे मिलकर उन्हें नज़दीक से जानने का मन था।

आर्थिक रूप से ग़रीब, मगर दिल के बहुत धनी हैं रामेश्वर जी - जितनी भी देर बातें हुईं, उनके चेहरे पर मुस्कान बरकरार रही। उन्होंने उम्मीदें टूटने के किस्से बताए, मगर साथ में ज़िम्मेदारियों का एहसास भी है। उनकी हिम्मत असल मायने में आशा की सुनहरी किरण है।

आज, करोड़ों अन्य भारतीयों की तरह, रामेश्वर जी भी तरक्की की पंक्ति के आख़िर में खड़े हैं - एक ऐसी जगह, जहां न रोज़गार है, न महंगाई से राहत, न व्यापार के सही मौके और न ही कोई आर्थिक सुरक्षा। जब तक हर सुविधा उन तक नहीं पहुंचती, ये कदम नहीं रुकेंगे, ये सिलसिला नहीं रुकेगा, यात्रा नहीं रुकेगी।

आज़ादी का यह ख़्वाब हमें साथ मिल कर पूरा करना है!
