Nissan's CARWINGS system -- now known as "Nissan Connect EV" in most of the world, has been the way that Nissan LEAF and e-NV200 owners have been able to remotely monitor their vehicles.
Over the last few years, we've seen Nissan notify customers that the 3G network originally used by LEAFs for that system was being retired and, in some markets, offered an ~$200 hardware upgrade to allow customers to continue using the service.
But in Australia, where the 3G network is about to be switched off, Nissan has decided to offer no alternative.
