Leaders of the BRICS countries have agreed to set up their own credit ratings agency. This came at the summit held at Goa, India. President Jacob Zuma is attending, together with his counterparts from Brazil, Russia, India and China. The countries also signed a memorandum of understanding on enhancing co-operation among them. China will take over the presidency for 2017..An agricultural research centre is also on the cards. Plans to open the BRICS bank Africa regional centre in Johannesburg are afoot.
