Hair algae, the bane of the saltwater aquarium enthusiasts tank. It can run all along the bottom of your tank, ruin your carpeting plants if you try to remove it, and is an overall eye sore. Hair algae is best prevented, not controlled. The best methods to remove hair algae are ensuring you are doing everything you can to your tank to prevent it from starting altogether.
