Close Quarters -- Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra’s new premium streaming series -- features classical music performances set to compelling visual elements. Director and Designer James Darrah joins forces with Music Director Jaime Martín and “America’s finest chamber orchestra” to create a digital series at the intersection of music, art and film that celebrates the essence of L.A.
Our Close Quarters series is a bi-monthly series, premiering a new episode every other Friday at 6:30 PM.
Each episode of Close Quarters can be thought of as a filmic episode of a larger series but all based directly on the LACO’s musical performance, employing the musical repertoire as the foundation and inspiration for the visual art components. Just as the musical curation shifts and changes with each concert program in the season, the visual aspects of each episode will become its own individual work of art. We are inviting many different types of artists, which will offer highly varied visual experiences to each episode. The visual art in each episode will be entirely new.
We are grateful for the love and care LACO has received for over 50 years. Please donate today and support these special new broadcasts. You are keeping this Orchestra on a wonderful path forward!
