With zero community consultation Harbourfront Centre is actively demolishing all traces of the beloved Harbourfront Skating Rink.
The footprint of the rink, including the key concrete outer lip is being taken out by heavy machine jackhammers so (1) People will forget the rink ever existed to cover up what Harbourfront Centre did, and (2) the infrastructure for the rink itself eg. the concrete outer lip, will be destroyed so there is no turning back to rebuild the rink despite the community outcry.
The Harbourfront Skating Rink is being erased from history by Board members of Harbourfront Centre.
People need to boycott this place until the Board responsible for this reprehensible decision is removed and the Harbourfront Skating Rink is rebuilt for all Torontonians.
