Winkler, Manitoba has a reputation as an industrial, farming and sports town, but members of the Winkler Art Club sought to broaden this perception by creating an opportunity for local artists to showcase their work to the public. With help from Co-op Community Spaces, an abandoned building was transformed into the Winkler Arts + Culture Centre, which houses an art gallery and coffee bar, as well as offices, studios and teaching spaces. The new space now helps local art become the talk of the town!

Co-op Community Spaces is investing in community projects across Western Canada, from Vancouver Island through to Manitoba.
