Transcriptomics is being used by researchers in various domains to understand how DNA code translates to RNA and becomes functional in the cell. Next Generation Sequencing techniques have made this process easier to understand. Now RNA-seq analysis leverages computational algorithms and statistical analysis to extract information from this data about genes, isoforms, and non-coding RNAs expression in the transcriptome. In this program, we will review the basic concepts needed for RNA-seq analysis, project planning and biological interpretation.
This is the first introductory session which was held on July 1, 2019. The program is conducted as a collaboration between Louisiana State University Center for Computation and Technology, the Louisiana Biomedical Research network and Pine Biotech. For more information, visit: [ Ссылка ]
