I was fortunate to experience an orchestra of flavour in 18 courses at Restaurant Interlude, located just over an hour's drive from London in Horsham. Set within the historic woodland gardens of Leonardslee Estate, visitors should plan an entire weekend away to explore the gardens, have dinner and stay at the exquisite Leonardslee House.

Within the first year of the restaurant's opening in 2019, SA born Chef Jean Delport and his team won the first Michelin Star for Interlude, and now I see why. Every course pays homage to local produce, inspired by South African and UK culinary delights, executed with the ultimate finesse. We enjoyed beautiful UK fizz and Benguela Cove Wines with every edible work of art.
