The HBC Point Blanket Oral History Project aims to present a holistic narrative around the blanket that captures the complexities and diverse experiences with this centuries old item. Encouraged to share their truth, participants are unscripted and explore their connection to the Point Blanket and what it means to them.
Bob Watts is the former Interim Executive Director of Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and Chair of @downiewenjack's Board of Directors. He is from Six Nations Reserve in Southern Ontario. Bob carries and honours his Ojibwe Spirit Name, Kinoozishingwak (Tall Pine) and is a member of the Bear Clan. Bob is a recipient of the Indspire Award for Public Service and recently received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from McMaster University. [ Ссылка ]
