After the devastating typhoon Haiyan, Caritas rebuilt seven destroyed schools on Bantayan and Kinatarkan Islands and fitted them out with furniture and school supplies. The focus is particularly on deprived families and communities. Caritas is pursuing its approach of ‘helping people to help themselves’ as part of the construction work. This video shows how Caritas achieves sustainable progress with this approach.
