Newly emerged CCTV footage from August shows a gruesome assault on a woman followed by a brave rescue. The incident occurred on 19th August after midnight, when a UZbek national was walking home in Delhi's malviya nagar. The footage shows a man trailing her and finally coming up from behind in an attempt to grab her phone. She is pushed, slapped and throttled by the man identified as Suraj. Fortunately, a group of teenagers playing at a nearby park chase and catch him, give him a few blows and then hand him over to the police. The assaulted foreigner was on her first visit to India.
