The Freedom Summer Murders were a horrific time in American History where three teenagers were killed in the summer of 1964. In an effort to achieve justice and equality in Mississippi, college students from around the United States converged on the state. That summer was know as Freedom Summer would bring sadneess, but also energize the nation with many wanting change in our Black History for Students feature. So join us as we share one of many stories for Black History Month with the Freedom Murders of 1964.
