Britain observed a two-minute silence Friday (8 MAY 2020) to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day and the end of World War II.
Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, led the ceremony from Balmoral in Scotland.
Leaders of the UK also stood in ceremony at 11am (1000GMT) along with the rest of the nation.
Nazi commanders signed their surrender to Allied forces in a French schoolhouse 75 years ago to the day, ending both World War II in Europe and the Holocaust.
