We have news! Rick’s pregnant! Well, not Rick, but his wife Chantal. Chantal’s a keen runner, and like so many other women, is keen to carry on safely running through pregnancy. So we’ve enlisted the expertise of Professor Greg Whyte, an Olympian and expert in the field of sports and exercise science.
↓↓ Have you got any questions about running while pregnant? Or about how to get back to running after having a baby? Tell us in the comments below ↓↓
Chantal’s asked all the questions she has about how to safely run while pregnant, including;
- Is it dangerous for the baby?
- How it might running when pregnant affect her pelvic floor?
- Are there any benefits for mum or baby when it comes to running when pregnant?
- Is it likely she’ll be frowned upon by others for carrying on running when she's pregnant?
You might recognise Professor Whyte as the celebrity trainer for various Comic and Sport Relief challenges, like Davina McCall's 500 miles in 7 days challenge, Zoe Ball cycling 350 miles from Blackpool to Brighton for her 'Zoe’s Hardest Road Home' challenge, Radio 1's Greg James on his #Greglathlon (5 triathlons in 5 cities in 5 days) and being in charge of a team of 9 celebrities including Cheryl Cole, Chris Moyles and Gary Barlow to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
