There is nothing called an asthmatic bronchitis. It is called an acute bronchitis. The bronchitis is called the inflammation of the windpipes. The bronchitis can happen to any person, if he is having any throat infection that can land up into the bronchitis. Asthma is an inflammatory procedure. So it usually runs in the family. Usually the asthmatic persons will be having symptoms like wheezing, chest congestion and cough. This asthma is non contagious until and unless it is associated with any infections like pneumonia. Otherwise asthma per se is not contagious. Acute bronchitis also usually it won’t spread to anybody. Majority of the time the bronchitis is caused by the viral infections.
