The highlights from our 3 day jungle trek of the Sumatran rainforest, to see the Gunning Lesser National Park Orangutan in Medan, North Sumatra, Bukit Lawang, Indonesia.

Definitely one of the best North Sumatra tourist attractions and the best place to see orangutans in their natural habitat. We were lucky to encounter the alpha male Orangutan showing his dominance, as well as watching cute baby orangutans play with their grandma, Mina. We loved our time in Sumatra.

We couldn't recommend our guides Jojo and Anto enough. We experienced the real jungle, slept under the rainforest stars, saw so many wild animals and tubbed on a water raft back to Bukit Lawang village, down the Landak River on our last day.
