After all the talk, people are finally able to do the Overlook Walk.
The $70 million project officially opened to the public on Friday, Oc. 4 and within minutes hundreds of people had descended on the spot, connecting Pike Place Market, the Waterfront, and Downtown.
The Overlook Walk is the biggest piece of a puzzle that was created after the Nisqually Earthquake in 2001. The city estimates the rest of the Waterfront Park, including a rebuilt Pier 58, will be done by next year.
