My Pal800 clone has too much mid-range to be used as a preamp, so I looked for a bunch of IRs and found this "God's Cab 1.4" collection.
The IR I used the most here is the "No-TS / 57_grill_cap_pres_3" file, loaded into a Cuvave Cube Baby.
I boosted the high frequencies going into the preamp by using, first, a TS-808 clone built from Tonepad specs + Keeley mods, and then a Tonepad Rangemaster in a tuna can.
All pedals are fed by a generic 12v power supply plugged into a DC filter.
Switch on the Range Master: up = default filter (.0068 uF); middle = thin (.0047 uF); down = Fat (0.010 uF);
Not sure why the Range Master hums so bad. My first guess would be to blame the DC filter, but most of my dist pedals work fine with it.
