At least three people have been killed and several seriously injured in a knife attack at a festival in Solingen, western Germany.
Police say the suspect is still at large and have not identified a motive for the attack.
“We are all in Solingen in shock, fright and great sadness. We all wanted to celebrate our city anniversary together, and now we have to mourn the dead and injured. Breaks my heart that there was an assassination attack on our town,” Solingen Mayor Tim Kurzbach said in a statement posted to social media.
