Covid-19 forces extraordinary measures.
Hurtigruten must for the first time in recent years, reduce its operations to a minimum. On the Norwegian coast, 9 out of 11 ships sailing in scheduled traffic between Bergen and Kirkenes have been taken out of service. Only Vesterålen and Richard With will be sailing in an amputated route between Kirkenes and Bodø.

Hurtigruten chose Hammerfest as the port of storage for two of its vessels. MS Lofoten and MS NordNorge were placed on the Bølgebryterkaia yesterday. They are left with reduced manning to take care of the two ships.
