Chad Doerman changed his plea Friday and admitted to chasing down his three young sons, Clayton, 7, Hunter, 4, and Chase, 3, and executing them at the family's home in June 2023. Doerman had argued he was mentally ill and was not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. Statements from Doerman's ex-wife and stepdaughter were read by a prosecutor as they described the pain of losing the boys. Law&Crime's Angenette Levy explains what happened at the emotional hearing and what Doerman's lawyers said about his actions in this episode of Crime Fix — a daily show covering the biggest stories in crime.
