Acc. Facility is the rapidly change in the refractive power of the lens to various focus distances.,while maintaining angle of convergence or eliminating the influence of convergence.
This ability is important when changing the fixation from near to distance and back again.
Clinically accommodative facility is measure using lenses that stimulates or inhibit accommodation.
This test is performed using accommodative flipper with a holder and combined plus and a minus lens.
Test performed at 40cm distance.,flip quickly when the object is clearly focused and the subject focuses through them,this is then repeated and the number of cycle completed in one minute as recorded accommodative facility.
