Eyewitness video showed the moment a fuel tanker caused an explosion after crashing into a tree in Frederick, Maryland on Saturday (March 4), killing the truck's driver and damaging six homes, officials said.
Fire officials were investigating the cause of the accident and the driver's identity has not yet been released.
County police said one home and three vehicles were damaged extensively and five other homes and two vehicles received minor damage.
The fire was contained in around 40 minutes, WTOP news reported.
