The NSCN-IM statement had claimed that NNPGs Convener Kitovi travelled to Arunachal Pradesh to meet the Nagas of Tirap, Longding and Changlang and was escorted by Assam Rifles. The NSCN-IM statement alleged that during the visit of the NNPG convener some Naga Civil Society Organisations were made to declare their support to the Agreed Position under duress.
Reacting to this, the NNPGs said that their convener Zhimomi, and other members of the Working Committee never travelled to Tirap, Changlang and Longding areas of Arunachal Pradesh in the last couple of years. Therefore, the Assam Rifles escorting his convoy is someone's figment of imagination.
