Marianne Melnik, MD, (formerly Marianne Lange) is a board certified surgeon, with a specialty in surgical oncology. Dr. Melnik received her bachelor’s degree from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, and her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed an internship and general surgery residency at the University of Iowa, and a fellowship in surgical oncology at Ohio State University. Dr. Melnik is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Cancer Society and the Associate for Cancer Education. She is the Michigan State Chair for the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer and the immediate past principal investigator for the Grand Rapids Clinical Oncology research program. She is also an assistant professor of surgery at Michigan State University.
