The MeToo campaign has taken on Bollywood's big names. Meanwhile, Bollywood women filmmakers have taken a decision in support of the women who have named these accused through the campaign, that they will no longer work in future with any accused of sexual harassment. Filmmaker Sonali Bose gave this information through Facebook post.
Sonali has written the name of 11 film filmmakers in her post. Apart from Sonali, among others, Alankrita Shrivastav, Gauri Shinde, Kiran Rao, Konkona Sen Sharma, Meghna Gulzar, Nandita Das, Nitya Mehra, Reema Kagti, Rishi Naren and Zoya Akhtar are included.
As women and filmmakers, we have come together to support the #MeToolndia movement. We are completely with women who have brought up the atrocities faced by them with honesty. Respect and admire their courage, due to which the revolution of change has started. We are here to spread awareness to make the workplace a safe environment. We take the resolution that it will not work with any person who is a harassment surgeon. We urge all the industry workers to do the same.
Before the film makers, Aamir Khan has given Mogul, Akshay Kumar, Housefull 3 and Ajay Devgan also refused to work with anyone in his company who has recently been accused of sexual harassment.
