Released in 1977, the CS-80 was a monster of a machine, weighing more than the average person and packing a huge sound to match. It was very expensive, and sold in limited quantities, but has gone on to become one of the most beloved and respected vintage synthesisers.

In this episode I cover the basic sound generation module in the CS-80V - The Oscillator. (Actually, it has two, but just for now let's deal with them one at a time!)

My name is Anthony Chisnall. I'm a musician and a songwriter. I've created this channel - One Man and His Songs - in order to share with you everything I learn as I strive to improve my songwriting skills. All of my music is written in Steinberg's Cubase. It is my intention to build a library of tutorial series concerning both Cubase itself and also the software, instruments and tools within it that I most enjoy using. All of my tutorial videos will focus strictly on being PRACTICAL guides - if I don't use a feature, I'm not going to waste your time trying to sound like an expert on it! This is the stuff I use day-to-day, so I think that's also what you'd like to hear me talking about :)

I want to build a community of music-lovers with whom I can share my experiences, and from whom I can gain valuable feedback as I pursue my dream of learning to write great songs. I really hope you'll join me on my journey!
