Companies have tried this model in other markets, but if VinFast does it, the VF 8 and VF 9 will be the first electric cars in America that don't come with a battery included in the price tag. Instead, you'll have to lease the battery. Yep, you can buy the car, but you can't buy the battery. This will logically keep the prices low, but long term you may end up paying more.
