Tens of thousands of demonstrators flocked the streets of Israel on Saturday (April 1) despite its suspension by the embattled premier this week, to demand it be scrapped entirely.
In Tel Aviv, protesters briefly occupied the Ayalon highway, one of the city's main thoroughfares, before it was cleared by police on horseback and with water cannon. Scuffles broke out and several people were seen being detained.
