HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. -- Jury selection began Tuesday in the murder trial of a Henderson County man accused of killing his wife.
Michael Wilkie was charged three years ago for the death of his wife Shelby. Investigators say he dismembered her body and burned it in a barrel behind their home.
Jury selection is expected to end by Wednesday morning. The judge said the trial could go into next week.
The prosecution says the killing was premeditated murder.
This is not a death penalty case.
