On this hiking adventure, I am doing a really awesome hike on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge, roughly about a 45-minute drive from Portland Oregon. The Hamilton Mountain Trail is located at Beacon Rock State Park. I personally label this hike as hard at 6.4 miles round-trip and 2060ft of elevation gain. What is so amazing about this trail is that you pass 3 beautiful waterfalls on your way up to the summit! Also, you are getting some pretty amazing views of the Columbia River Gorge as you are going up the mountain. An overall great hike to check out if you live in the Portland metro area or visit the Columbia River Gorge.
