Cris Tales is an indie JRPG telling an epic story, in which you play as a developing time mage named Crisbell. Crisbell sets off on a journey to stop the Time Empress from causing a Time Cataclysm that would tear apart all of Crystallis. Crisbell hones her time magic with the help of companions she meets along the way. She also learns how to manipulate the timeline in battle and while exploring to either help or hurt, depending on how the player chooses to use her powers.
