It’s called “Godiva”, because sometimes it feels like you have to ride a horse naked through Coventry to get anywhere in this industry. But that’s not what creativity is about ayyeee! Filmed from quarantine on a borrowed guitar.

In a limousine
On the way to California
I knew
It was not for me
But I was waiting for you

And you were beautiful and weighted down
Like an iridium and star-laced crown

A dog is crying on the eastern seaboard tonight
Crying over a crime, a throne, a mirror and a long haul flight
To echoes and breezes, falsities and nakedness
But it’s not my place, with this inexpensive face

Words play
Like a pirouette
On the way to California
Teeth, skin
That I won’t forget
Like the sadness that adorned you

Are you sure that you’re Godiva?
Today’s glowing new Messiah?
