The New Metabo 6 1/2" circular saw is smooth sailing on the Festool Guide rails. It is nice to have the option of using a guide or not. Perform some rough timber cuts and then drop it on a guide rail to rip a guaranteed straight line.
The factory blade is a thin kerf which did have some tendency to flex. I am using a Diablo thin kerf blade from the orange box store and it's better.
The factory dust port works great at ejecting the dust out the back.
The wide base gives the saw good balance when cutting.
