The Akron Police were dispatched to a store regarding a group of kids stealing items. Upon arrival, the store employee had locked the door to keep one of the individuals inside until the police arrived. The other group of kids managed to exit the store and fled on foot when the police arrived. During the chase, one of the kids was found to be carrying a gun. The juvenile who was apprehended was taken to Dan Street for processing.
