In this video I show how to scan for privacy codes or repeater tones (CTCSS tones or DCS tones) using a Baofeng UV-5R ham radio. The process of tone-scanning is easy but there are a few important steps specific to the Baofeng UV-5R and other Baofeng ham radios that if you skip, you wont be able to scan for the CTCSS/PL/DCS/DPL tones.
Using the Baofeng UV5R ham radio you can scan for ham repeater tones or ham privacy tones as well as codes or tones for GMRS repeaters or "privacy codes".
